JD is the President/CEO and general counsel for CirrusFilm™ LLC. Founded in 2010, CirrusFilm is an Albuquerque-based film production company. Its primary mission is to create and facilitate feature-length films in New Mexico and throughout the region.
   While JD’s background is in film, television and broadcast journalism (B.A.), he holds a degree in law (Juris Doctorate) and has worked as a major felony trial attorney in both federal and state courts.  He has prosecuted and/or defended all nature of criminal offenses including death penalty cases on the state and federal levels. JD is a board-certified criminal trial specialist continuously since 1991. JD has been selected as a Super Lawyer of the Southwest and is rated Superior A+ in the National Registry of Attorneys.
    JD has authored several feature-length screenplays and is currently writing the feature-length screenplay of the New Mexico Penitentiary riot, the deadliest in American penal history. JD served as a special prosecutor in the prosecution of the riot homicides. In addition to being a prolific writer, he also directs and produces feature films. JD recently appeared in the feature-length film “Cathedral Canyon,” which was the recipient of the Palm Beach Film Festival’s award for best feature. His passion for film is rivaled only by his passion for aviation.
   JD maintains a pilot’s license that he qualified for in 1972 and is also interested in films containing aviation-based themes.
